It looks like Lego want to up their game, going toe to toe with Minecraft with LEGO Worlds: a sandbox game about building and playing with blocks bricks. It’s just hit Steam Early Access as a beta, and retails for £11.99 if you want to see how it stands to Mojang’s flagship product.

As it stands, LEGO Worlds is only a single-player affair, but online multiplayer is promised to be implemented further into development. Other features said to be added are more AI creatures, underwater biomes and procedurally-generated cave networks.
